2021 BREEDING + KIDDING SCHEDULE

friendly, quality ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf kids

I am really looking forward to this year's crop of kids! We're using three bucks that are bringing in some really beautiful dairy lines, not to mention the silver color gene, which, if you're a color buff like me, is really exciting! We are now accepting reservations for all confirmed pairings. Reservations for unborn kids are free, once they are born, a 50% deposit is required to hold your kid until weaning.

Does and intact bucks will only be available registered through ADGA. Wethers can be registered through AGS for 4H purposes. Prices start at $250 for pet/farm quality does, and go up to $500 depending on the doe. Bucks will range from $250-500. Wethers are $75 each, or $100 for a pair. All kids will be born naturally polled or they will be disbudded. If you would prefer your kid to be horned, it must be paid in full with a signed contract shortly after birth, as they will be disbudded at 3-5 days old.

Pastures & Pine reserves the right to retain any kid at any time, regardless of reservations.

Once a deposit has been paid, however, that kid is considered sold.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or reservation requests any time!

Pastures and Pine Myrcella x Bashan Farm Micah

Due July 15, 2021

Myrcella is the only 2019 doe I retained, and I don't regret it for a minute. In addition to her "love absolutely everybody" personality, she has matured into a lovely yearling, with length, width, strong, clean legs, and a lot of potential in her conformation. I'm enjoying watching her mature, and can't wait to see how her first freshening further changes her body. Her dam's second freshening udder was very nice, with excellent proportions. Her teats were somewhat small, but had nice, open orifices, allowing for comfortable hand milking. Micah is still coming into his own, but I'm LOVING what I'm seeing. Tons of width and levelness, with strong, straight legs, a beautiful, high rear arch, and a super masculine look. His sire is a solid, beautiful buck, and his dam produces copious amounts of milk from a very nice udder. Being bred out of Washington, he also brings some fresh genetics to the area, and did I mention, the silver gene?

Kids will be variations of bezoar carrying a hidden black gene, with possible white patterning and frosting. Polled possible. Silver, chocolate, and/or heavy roaning possible.

Pastures and Pine Leucothea x

Due June 2, 2021

Oooohh I am DYING for a doe from this pairing! Coco's second freshening udder was absolutely gorgeous. High with good capacity, beautiful texture, a lovely medial, and large teats that were easy to hand milk. At two years old, Coco is maturing into a lovely, refined dairy doe. Fergus is a 2020 buck that I am really excited to bring into the herd, and I'm really enjoying watching him mature. He has excellent conformation, with a beautiful topline, level rump, straight legs and a beautifully high and wide escutcheon. Plus, he sports a list of distinguished farms in his pedigree that I just couldn't say no to!

Kids will be buckskin, or buckskin carrying black. Polled likely, chocolate likely.

Krebs MD Baby Ruth x Bashan Farm Micah

Due May 21, 2021

I'm really excited for Baby Ruth's first freshening. She brings strong bone, tons of width, her lovely baby blues, and some very nice herds and udders with her, which is something I expect Micah to complement very nicely, bringing in length and levelness, as well as rear udder height and milking longevity.

Kids can be black, cou clair, silver, or silver cou clair. Blue eyes possible.

Pastures and Pine Rogue Wave x Bashan Farm Micah

Due May 2, 2021

Edith has the softest most buttery udder, with nicely proportioned teats and open orifices that make her exceptionally easy to hand milk. Her udder was nice and high with a strong medial and good capacity. She easily nursed triplet boys last year as a 2F, with milk to spare, and is the gentlest, most conscientious mother. I'm absolutely dying for a girl child from her 2021 litter with Bashan Farm Micah. Micah is still growing into his own, but I'm LOVING what I'm seeing. Tons of width and level, with strong, straight legs, a beautiful, high rear arch, and a super masculine look. His sire is absolutely stunning, and his dam produces copious amounts of milk from a lovely udder (and if everything workds out, her owner plans to have her starred this year (fingers crossed) making her a 3*M). Being bred out of Washington, he also brings some fresh genetics to the valley, and did I mention, the silver gene?

Kids will be variations of buckskin carrying a black gene, with white patterning. Polled possible. Silver and heavily roaned buckskin possible.
